Turbulent Displace Transition Tutorial – 2016 (.AE file in description )

Create a new composition

For this example, I am using “TRONARTS” Logo and will theme the transition accordingly.

Create a new solid for the transition

Using Pen tool, build a shape on the created solid and follow along with the video.

Choose “Turbulent Displace” from the effect panel and add it to the transition solid.

You can play with the amount of displacement. For this video, I’ll be using somewhere around 300

Duplicate the transition solid and choose “Time – Reverse Layer”

Trim the layers and place them accordingly so the transition is complete.

Select the two layers and Pre – Compose it.

You can now use this transition as you please. Transition speed can be changed using Time Remapping.
